Our Misson

In September 2021 we lost a major landmark in the Village of Ailsa Craig when a windstorm took down the 150 year old steeple at the Trinity Chapel, a part of the holdings of the North Middlesex Historical Society. We are actively seeking donations to rebuild our steeple.

Our History

The Historical Society was formed in 1996 by a group of locals who had a common interest in history. We organized, incorporated, and became a powerful tourist entity in the community. We are a volunteer owned and operated museum and archives.

We have no government support and maintain two buildings that we own in the Municipality of North Middlesex.

The Aftermath

Due to the storm we lost our steeple and we are very anxious to have it rebuilt and returned to it's former glory! We have $64,000 in insurance coverage and require a further $225,000 to replace our steeple. We are looking at a major fundraiser and are determined to accomplish this goal.

All donations made to the Historical Society are 100% tax deductible.
